About the Concept
Today’s Renaissance Woman
‘Renaissance Woman’ trilogy is a deconstruction of the idea of the ‘modern-day woman’ in 3 parts (universal and not restricted to any geography) through visual art (still photography)
Toda’s Renaissance woman exhibits some key characteristics:
- Continuous exploration and pursuit for knowledge
- Physical, mental & emotional well being
- Self-knowledge
- Her vision for life
- Living to the fullest
The current visual story is ‘Deconstruct I’ of the trilogy: “Between the Goddess and the Witch”. It is a depiction of female solidarity against the typecast of ‘a good woman’ or ‘a bad woman’. She exists and celebrates all along between the good and the bad. It is her pursuit that defines her which has all human shades of strengths and weaknesses.
